Serving up Some Inspiration-What Makes the Difference-?

Why is it that some who fall down cannot get up while others are slammed repeatedly and refuse to stay down? I think we all know that person who barely survives a scapped knee, complaining to anyone that will listen and ranting about how terrible life is for them? Please tell me I am not the only person dealing with a “sissy la la” type personality! Then you have people like those featured on this site and wonder what makes the difference. The next time you come accross someone who is focussed on a non deserving pity party…hum, I say please direct them to this site for a little dose of humility and reality.

I had a friend who had a good home life. Went to a major University and graduated with grades good enough to qualify to work for a top rated Aeronautics firm that my super genius adopted father worked for. Well, He feel apart for what ever reason. He was balling and he quit that job (one of which I could only dream about). He became suicidal and beating himself up about how he didn’t learn anything at that major university. He finally settled for lessor jobs offered to him by other friends and family.
I see it all of the time out here on the road. The government pays for those who are already supported by the government to go to a 3 week school and train to become a truck driver. Many times it seems that once they realize that they are expected to drive somewhere that they have never been to pick up a load on the appointed day and time with questionable directions and then deliver that load in one piece to another destination across country, they just quit and give up.
I guess as I have become older. I have become less tolerant to whiners and cry babies. My attitude is more man up or get out and I am not interested in your gender. I told that one time to my safety supervisor when I was a truck driver safety instructor/tester.
The ones that didn’t pass my class usually filed complaints against me. I think that is typical when a cry baby doesn’t get their way. They go and cry to someone for comfort and understanding. When the whole problem is they have never had to do anything difficult in their lives.
Which a child who survives abuse and becomes a former foster kid. They have lived a very tough life and can often handle the new challenges that is presented to them. If that former foster kid can just see this adversity as a new challenge instead of looking at it as just another something that is attacking me, then this former foster kid can then see their life as something that can stand on its own and thrive against any and all adversity.
