i just wanted to commend you on overcoming the adversities and challenges that i know u guys face aging out of the foster system...i have been a single male foster parent since 1999. i have only fostered about 6 black male teenages, (the lost ones) and my experiences, despite some issues, have been relatively positive..my very first foster son who is now 27 yrs old, fully employed and partially college educated has done quite well. his biological mom was kiiled my the serial kille Anthony Sowell, here in Cleveland, but he has been my son since 1999. after he aged out, he still lived with me, went to college for 2 yrs, dropped out, still lived with me as he worked, met his fiance and has been with her ever since, they have a 5yr old.. my grandbaby...my other son, 23 yr old Lee, ran away from me because he didnt want to go to school but wound up yrs later getting his GED and will not attend ITT tech and he works fulltime and has a 3 yr old baby...i stayed in their lives and continued to guide them into adulthood...i'm always reminded of how our story is the exception and i just say it's God's grace/ never me!!
